Patti,

If the original site was written using Front Page, there may be something
throughout the site such as front page themes or some other fun stuff that
requires Front Page Extensions on the server.

If the quote is just to convert the existing site, and not redesign it, the
quote seems very high. If the quote does include a new design, you need to
figure out if it is worth it or not.

My department created a new web site for our company using a PC-based web
authoring program.  Now our MIS folks say they will have to completely
rewrite the HTML code (requiring 55 days to the tune of $25 grand) "to be
compatible" with the server.  Both groups use HTML 4.0.  How can this be?
