Hello
Please, I'd like to know what you think about this situation - the
web site belongs to our local college, I was the visitor 'tho not on
my own computer. The address is http://www/chipcoll.ac.uk - I'm not
asking you to visit.
I clicked on a link to a job ad and the college site downloaded a
Word file to the PC, launched Word and opened the file automatically,
all with no warning to me, and no mention anywhere on the site that
it does that or even that the link is to a .doc file. I expected to
see an HTML page, or maybe a PDF, not a .doc file.
There's no actual link to the webmaster herself on the site, just to
'info at the college', so I hope my fairly forthright email will get
to the right person.
TIA.
Freda
