Hi All,
I'm still trying to get my Javascript scroller/ticker to validate in
W3.org. I changed all the <./big> and etc. tags to <\./big> and
inserted the proper type declaration for the Javascript tag thusly:
<.script language="JavaScript 1.2" type="text/javascript">
So those are no longer a problem.
However, it won't still won't validate because of the ILAYER and
LAYER elements in this code. I spent several hours looking for
another ticker but can't find any with the same effect as this one.
Question: How important is it whether or not the ticker code
validates as far as search engine resigistration is concerned.
Question 2: I reallly like how this scroller/ticker looks. If this
code (with validation errors) is not acceptable does anyone know of
another Scroller/Ticker code that will produce the same results?
Here is the page in question:

Thanks,
Lori
