Hi All,
I have one client who insited on going through a Freebie website due
to lack of funds (it is a Christian ministry and we went through a
Christian freebie site called FaithSite.com). It looked like the best
freebie Christian site I could find, but after signing up with them I
have had nothing but problems with these people and kept warning her
that we should back out of this deal. She talked to them on the phone
and felt she could trust them and sent in the funds for them to
register the domain name a whole month ago. It is finally working
now as of this morning and I was able to get the data of the
purchase. The domain name was 1/2 price (which actually just pays
for one year instead of two).
However the REAL problem is that the freebie site owner registered
the name in his own name and not my clients and not in her ministry
name either, and not even in the freebie site name. Her name and
ministry does not appear on the form at all. I knew this would happen
but she insisted that she trusted the guy so my hands were tied.
here is her ministry name if anyone wants to check the data on this:
christkitchen.org
Can someone tell me what to do about this, if anything, or what steps
to take next?
Thanks,
Lori
