Re: fixed backgroundby Lori Eldridge <lorrie652(at)icehouse.net> |

Hi All, I went searching for a cross browser code for fixed backgrounds and I think I've found a Jscript that appears to be working--at least on my Mac. I had to make 4 copies of the image to fit various resolutions but being as it's on a transparent background it didn't take that many K's. And although it's not fixed on netscape at least that browser has a vertically tiled version that looks pretty good (except the table borders are too faint in NetNav--heavy sigh!!). If you have the time can you let me know how this looks on other browsers that what I have which is Mac IE 5.1 and NetNav 4.79? Here is the article explaining Smart Backgrounds: http://html.ozbytes.net.au/programmer/tips/smartbg.html and then go here to download the code http://html.ozbytes.net.au/programmer/scriptarchives/jseffects.html and click on: Smarter Background and it will download the code with instructions. take care Lori
