You're gonna catch it for this one!! As you will hear, discussing this
subject is considered "price fixing" EVEN though I KNOW that's NOT what's
you're after! This is a good resource to start with.

Another thing I do is just look at sites on the web that offer these services
since many of them post prices for services offered (do a search for "web
design" to start with).
At this point, however, I am where you are now......getting started. I have 2
different nonprofit groups I'm developing sites for at no cost 1) to develop
an online portfolio, 2) for EXPERIENCE! Find an org that you like or are
interested in and offer to do a site for them; I'm sure they'd be thrilled!
I'm finding that the only way to really learn it is to just jump in with both
feet and DO it!
