Hi Folks,
I am trying to help several people learn html authoring on a windows
machine. I have always used a Mac.
Some very basic questions:
I have chosen arachnophilia and notepad to use as editors.
1. Can I add the suffix .htm to a notepad file and have the browser
recognize it?
2. Do I have to allow Arachnophilia to write its own info into a new file
for it to work? What I tried was create a new file, delete that automatic
info, paste the html coding from notepad which I had copied from the source
of a web page. I put it on a floppy and tried to open it on another
computer. The message was that it was a bad file.
I use Netscape, simple text, and BBEdit on my Mac and want to accomplish
the same thing on WIndows.
I really need help.
Thanks,
Lois Duckworth
