Hi Ted and others,
Well, this is an interesting discussion about FrontPage.
However, my problem has been solved at this time. I exchanged email with
the fellow who is hosting the web site and somehow he has fixed things.
What I can see is that he renamed his Fronypage index file and tehn named
my file as index.htm
Now I created a separate folder where i shall put all other files.
He told me a few weeks ago to never remove any of the Frontpage files or I
could never use Frontpage again.
So the page is now being construsted only another big problem!! I mention
it just in case it is FrontPage related: Whenever we type in the URL for
our virtual website we get a pop-up window asking for a user ID and
password.
Now it didn't work like that a few weeks ago.
It's nothing I've done, honest. I didn't attempt anyting until the day
before yesterday.
I'm using BBEdit and will continue to FTP to the site. There will be
girlscouts and church school children as well as adults learning html (I'm
teaching) and making web pages. I don't have time to order FrontPage and
learn it and do all that I have been committed to for several months
already!!
Besides, you realize how long it itakes to go through committee to obtain
needed supplies?!:-)
Thanks for all the tips.TTFN,
Lois
