My wife is a CPA, a former tax consultant for Chiquita International, a
current tax consultant for Cincinnati Bell and president of the Cincinnati
Women's Society of Certified Public Accountants.

When ever I develop anything for a non-profit in a pro-bono situation, we
submit the project details to other design and development firms as a
general outsource development project.  If there are logos, branding, image
work, it is stated as such, just as you would per any other company or
corporation.  Once the other firms have submitted a bid on the entire
project, a average cost is determined.  This is what I submit to the IRS as
the cost involved in the pro-bono work.
