Time To Dive In !!! Sink or Swim !!!

Hello all,

        My name is Cliff Rockson, I aquired a business license for my area,
(3 months ago) and now its time to get my feet wet.

        Talk about starting on a shoe string, the only hardware/software I
have basically allows me to send/recieve E-mail, create websites, print in
color, and scan video/stills from my camcorder.
        I have a HTML reference book, and I've downloaded & printed the
specifications for HTML 4.01, CSS LEVEL 2, XHTML, XML 1.0, ect...
        I have Quicken Home & Business software, installed & setup, but
nothing to enter into it.
        I subscribe to http://www.eLance.com , to which I have not placed
any bids for work. Why?...

        1. How do I pay for legal aid to draw up contracts, make sure I'm
not breaking any laws before I start a job? ect. ect...

        2. What other things do I need to be aware of, so I don't crash &
burn.

        3. Is there a single site I can get all this info/aid from?
