Either simply don't cause pages to automatically refresh, or give the
user the choice as to whether or not the page will automatically refresh
(note this is not the same as redirecting to another page, which really
ought to be handled on the server rather than using the meta refresh
tag). If you look at the Standard Life Investments front page, then
follow the link "View as table" below the scrolling share price info,
you'll see an example of one way of doing this.
