Most countries don't have a law explicitly against spam, and legal recourse

Subject: OT: SPAM
: Has anyone ever taken legal action against
: a spammer.....
:
: I've been getting slammed by this one email
: for weeks now. I think I received it over
: 100 times the past week and like 15 times
: yesterday alone.
:
: I've followed their remove instructions to no avail
: and have even called them on the phone and asked to be
: removed from their list.
:
: I have forwarded copies of the email to the ISP's
: where the mail originates from.
:
: But, I'm still getting these emails.
:
: This is s disruption to my business at this point,
: it's crazy.....
:
: Anyway, sorry for the whining, I was just wondering
: if anyone has ever been in this situation and taken it
: to the next step..... Do I have a leg to stand on?
: What other action can I take?
:
: Thanks,
: -Brian
