Hi Robert
I used Mapquest for a client and avoided the issue of anyone leaving the
site by simply opening the map in a new window, when the visitor was through
with the map they close the window and continue browsing the clients site.
Short of scanning a series of maps, there aren't many reasonably priced
options, and if you have to pay a copyright fee to use them they might
become to expensive. About the possibility of inappropriate advertising,
I'm not sure how minimize that... anyone else?
