My hosting provider has 2 servers that are rejected by AOL. They have been
trying to get it resolved for some weeks now and it's impossible to make any
headway.

I also understand AOL is rejecting email from domains without a static IP.
I haven't verified that one yet.  It does seem to me that we may be looking
at a weathervane of sorts here.  The SPAM situation has begun to cost ISPs
money on several fronts, including equipment, bandwidth and irritated
customers.  I'm not surprised to see the emergence of stronger stances....

I would love to hear your experiences on doing legitimate mailings such as
newsletters, if you've run into this type of issue and what if anything
you've been able to do to minimize any problems associated with being
clumped with spammers.   I have one client in particular that due to the
size of his legitimate monthly email notice has been identified by AOL as a
spammer and therefore all his messages bounce back with a notice to that
effect.   Isn't that ironic!?  ;-)
