Patty:
A very good point about wizards being useful as a learning tool.
I'm afraid that I still do dismiss FrontPage, but not quite entirely. I have
heard wonderful things about FP 2000, and so I will certainly examine it
when I go to Win2K. My only personal experience with it is that is added
field validation to ASP when when it wasn't asked to, but I suspect there is
some option the client has activated (or more likely not deactivated).
The previous version of FP was horrendous. Any ASP programmer will tell you
horror stories of having code mangled (supposedly fixed in FP2000). And I
hated it's attempts at JavaScript field validation.
I would love to hear FP 2000 comments, especially from the point of view of
a web support tool. I would love to have a more visual way of looking at
live sites than CuteFTP and WS-FTP.
