Need help with a gaphic placement problem

Hi all, I usually don't say a whole lot.
I have a page that I have been asked to rework.
The images are sectioned so that the text can be stuck in the middle.
It seems that everytime I make any changes to the main index page at:
http://baldspot.com/index.html
 The image has a space as seen at:
http://baldspot.com/index2.html
Even simple changes like addin a meta tag.
 I can't seem to figure this one out.

Please help..
