I run a webring called Handmade by Artisans.  A group of 
independent artists that sell their wares via an internet catolog.  
Every one of the artists have reported increased traffic to their 
sites.  Webrings are wonderful traffic generators, sending as much 
traffic as a medium search engine.  When a website is in its first 
year and search engine placement is difficult, a webring can make 
the difference.
