Just make sure that when you take on a new client that you give yourself
enough time to get to work on their project. I usually have five or six jewelry
commissions, an art project or two and a website going all at the same time.
Just make a priority list and allow yourself a certain amount of time each day
to work on each project, rotating among them.
For instance, during certain times of the year, I'm out selling my wares in my
booth and know that I will have less computer time. I explain this to the
customer and tack on an extra week or two to finish the project. Sometimes
this does turn away a customer, but most are understanding. If they like your
work as an artist, they will hire you.
