Ron,
I did not think the thread was about 'profit', .. but gross revenues. I agree about profit (it does not even seem to make sense, *especially* if you are letting someone else keep the books), .. but we have a number of e-commerce sites where we take a percentage *off the top* before passing funds back to the client (i.e. we get paid our percentage first).
As long as it is an investment I wish to make, .. it works fine.
