Speaking of which...
Could anyone describe how transaction processing works? When you process an=
=20
order, how do you connect to the credit card company or clearing house? Is=
=20
there an HTTP-based protocol? Proprietary software? Is manual intervention=
=20
needed? How about batch processing? Do you need a Wintel machine or can you=
=20
do this from ye olde Unix/Perl platform?
Your experience will be much appreciated.
