There is some neat software that I have used - Business Plan Pro 
4.0.  Walks you through step by step on what information you need to have, 
what it means and how it relates to the big picture.  ;-)   Can be found on 
Amazon.  Worth the $$ because the software structures the plan formally for 
you - you just need to do your due diligence and fill in the blanks.  Still 
lots of work, but definitely helps get your ducks in a row!
