My name is Roger Clark.
I wish to add the method to process charge cards to my web site, but find my
search for a solution to be confusing.
As I understand it, the 3 main parts of this are: adding a catalog of
products and/or services offered to the web site, adding an SSL layer for
security, and adding a merchant account that actually processes the charge
card
request.
I am hoping that I will receive responses recommending competent and well
priced solutions for an SSL and a merchant bank.
I would prefer:
That the SSL appear seamless so that it isn't obvious that the user has
traveled to a new web site.
That it not be necessary for the user to belong to the merchant account,
which
would force them to create a username and password to be considered.
That there would not be low dollar limits on the per transaction or monthly
totals.
That the merchant account would also offer a toll free telephone number
option
for those users that were uncomfortable transacting over the Internet.
I would appreciate any suggestions that would be helpful in my finding a
competent and affordable solution.
Many thanks in advance,
Roger
