Hi,
While I do read many of the critiques posted, I don't often add my comments.
I feel as if I am not skilled enough in HTML programming to be a source of
authority. But this time I must say something.
I believe that there is a reason why there was no response to your first
request for a critique. Its called credibility. Many of the pros on here have
a "sixth sense" as to whether or not a person is serious about learning. Some
of these design pros may have sensed otherwise after viewing the site in
question.
But your second request indicated you were serious, so you received replies.
And with most of them, I agree with the critiques.
But, I also think that there is yet another critique that many of the pros
seem to overlook. It concerns the "art" of using language, grammar and syntax
in the body of the web site.
I've seen some excellent sites in this program. But when it comes to their
use of the English languish, it stinks. They may be great graphical artists
and web programmers, but when it comes to getting their point across, they
don't have a clue. And that is a hint for you.
I wish that these web experts (and they ARE experts) in graphical design and
analysis would learn that it takes more than a pretty picture to sell
something on a web site. It takes a command of the English language than they
do not know as well as their HTML coding (smile).
Sincerely,
Doug
