I have DSL, so me for it's still quite fast.  However, the weight of that
page(the sum total of all the files' size that need to be downloaded) is
233K.  If you target a reasonable baseline of a 28.8K modem, you have to
assume a transfer rate of not much more thatn 2K per second.  That leaves
you with 1 minute and 56 seconds to download just that page.  That's
painful!  If I were to hit that site on an analog modem, I would immediately
go elsewhere.  Unfortunately, just your textured background by itself would
take about 16 seconds to download.
