As a former faculty member at VPI I was relieved to see this
acknowledgement.  I would be more than disturbed to think someone would be
admitted to any university and not know that the personal pronoun "I" should
be capitalized.

When I tried to look at the site all I got was a message saying:
"thanks for coming here however this page is under construction again"
"please check back soon"
No punctuation, no capitals.

The first time I saw the post my reaction was junior high, high school at
best.  Even at that level it is a scary commentary on our education system.

While at first it may seem off-topic I submit that how we present ourselves
in our written communication is very important.  I would never agree to hire
someone who claims to be a professional site designer that could not spell
or use proper grammar.  Graphical skill is only part of communication and we
*are* in the business of communication.  Let's hope what we communicate is
quality, not ignorance.

hello again

i would like to thank the handful of people who have critiqued my page so
quickly.
to somehow salvage myself here, i am not really a graphic design student, i
do plan on taking some classes next semester. i made this page with paint
shop pro, a really bad graphic program. i am obtaining photoshop 5 as i
speak.

i was really wondering how my page ranked on this list. i already did plan
on redoing the whole site after i get my new program. wondering if anything
would be worthy to keep. i see not.
