Re: Image too large?by "Christian Ricci" <cricci(at)diac.com> |

Martin, I'd say it took around 15-20 seconds on a 28.8 connection. I ran the image through GIF lube at www.websitegarage.com and they managed to shrink the image from 32K to 9K with very little reduction in image quality. You might take a closer look at the compression options for JPG in your graphics program, reduce the quality a bit and you'll get much better compression. ~chris http://www.onewolf.com/ -----Original Message----- From: Martin Skjldebrand <martin.skjoldebrand(at)nsmpd.se> To: hwg-critique(at)hwg.org <hwg-critique(at)hwg.org> Date: Sunday, November 15, 1998 10:34 AM Subject: Image too large? I'm redesigning my home page. Just wondering is the new index-page image too slow to download? It's not on my machines but what do others say? Page: www.bahnhof.se/~chimbis/ TIA, Martin S.
