Hi Doug,
I think this site would benefit from some simplification, but
maybe that's not possible with the requirements of the
assignment.
There's a little problem in IE5 -- the nav bar jumps out a little
in width after you mouse over a link. I'm not sure why this is
happening, but it's something that can make a site look amateur,
so should be fixed. (If it were me, I'd do away with the
JavaScript and CSS positioning, but probably you don't have this
choice.)
As you said, there are problems in NN4.7 -- some big problems
with the positioning. Maybe someone else out there will know
why.
Just for aesthetics, I would consider doing away with the
background images -- background texture and tiling eagle in nav
bar. Also the border around the banner and the nav table.
The content looks useful, so I hope you can get it working.
