Hello Neighbors, and Fellow children of Earth:
I joined HWG about three months ago, I got a lot of useful information and a
lot of bull.
Two months ago I started a class in Network Engineering and haven't had time
to keep up with any of The HWG's mailing lists. During this time I've
redesigned my home page, form suggestions from this list and many other
sources. I have had more then enough rude responses to my attempts at
helpfulness. Last night I got my mail hoping to get a comment about my
revised site http://coyote.accessnv.com/melchzdk which I posted, almost a
week ago, and haven't gotten a response.
I only had two hours before I had to be in class, which is an hour distance
from my home, anyway I went and looked at a site, it looked like a beginners
site to me, so I tried to give a little encouragement to a budding
webmaster. I am only a self proclaimed Webmaster, and would never think I
know it all. I find that many of you think you do. Get a life, no one can
know it all.
Now as to web page design, I find that not one single page out of the
zillions I've looked at impresses me. If you think you need all that art
work, why not optimized it so that it is a little faster for the people
(Like me) that are still stuck with 28.8 baud modems. Not everyone has the
money to buy them big fancy art programs. I find that if I can't get a
critique for my site, people must think its good, or to good, as the case
maybe. Otherwise someone would have wrote me something, and not some moronic
thing in my guest book either.
Well I guess I've vented enough.
SMILE! (Its just a thought?)
