Hi Carole and Ann,
Thanks for your critique on my site http://www.schoening-online.de/ :-)
> [C] Why no voice quality definitions for screen readers?
I already thought about aural style sheets but... does anybody know a screen
reader which is available at a reasonable price? Trial versions are OK - but
if I turn to use aural style sheets I must be able to test them at any time
:-)
> [C] Also, some of your text sounds vaguely like Kynn's Accessibility class
lectures. ;)
Well, it's no pure chance, of course (not long ago)... must be the nature of
the Accessibility topic ;-)))
> [C] I have an aversion to white backgrounds as they are very reflective
and
hard on the eyes. A very pale any color would be easier to view.
> [A] I do not have a problem with the white - there is yellow too.
I tried it - and I must admit that it looks a little "warmer" now, IMO...
> [C] Your logo, in italics, is a bit ragged, though this is typical of
italic
fonts. They just don't render well on the screen.
I just liked this "handwriting" font so much... but I'll think about it :-)
> [A] I particularly like how well your site works in
any size browser window.
No tables, no frames... (WebTV Viewer rags the navigation bars, though...)
> [A] NS rendered the type slightly larger.
This could be due to the use of percentages for font sizes in my CSS (user
can make the whole page look "bigger" or "smaller" easily), the default font
size you use in your browser, and the font that your browser selects out of
the font-family definition (though I think you have Verdana on your
WIN98/IE5 machine, not only Arial).
Thanks again,
