I immediately don't like the dollar signs in the background.  The detract
from bringing my eyes to the content but rather to try and see what is in
the background.

Put a little space between the nav "buttons" on the left.  They kind of run
into each other.

The load time was fairly quick running IE 4.72, 800x600, 33.6 modem

Don't have much time for further review but hope this helps.
