Hi John. Had to go look, as I'm quite familiar with Colorado. You have an
ambitious project here, and my first thought was "why go here when the
forest service and NPS have extensive sites?" However - you have great
potential here with an extensive database and a message board that promises
to be enticing (especially when reading messages about "easy" 14ers! LOL!).
Color scheme seems fine, but it seems a little on the "hunter" side. I would
expect more green for parks. But that's just IMO. The only thing that does
bother me is the logo - the yellow (what flower is that?) in the "C" is
great - I think the blue is the columbine? It seems a bit much and really
draws attention up to the logo, rather than balancing the whole.

I'm on IE Windows 98, 1024 x 768, cable modem. Cable is pretty fast here,
but I still had to wait a few seconds for each database to come up under the
"sort by" section. Nice navigation, and you cover a lot of info here that is
pretty detailed. Thanks for that. Also - I noticed you have the tables set
to 100% - another IMO that it might help with the visual a bit to reduce the
tables to 98% or even to 95% - this would help relieve the feeling that the
table is extending beyond either side of the screen. It's not a border so
much as just a little breathing room.

The other issue is that I couldn't find a way to intuitively get back to the
home page. It might help to have the logo linked to "home" or the front
page.

I'm bookmarking this one - will look forward to see what you do with it all.
