Moira,
The site looks great! It's classy simple and I must say I really like it.
Navigation is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. Glad you have text
links.
The e-mail link on top of the page - I usually don't like links that pop up
windows, let it be a mail or browser window, but it can be understood that a
link with the e-mail address pops up a e-mail window.
Everything lined up pretty well, but I really don't like how the bk/h3.jpg is
positioned and it's pretty low quality. I'd position the picture slightly
differently (don't know exactly how), as it does look a bit weird. And I would
get a picture with better quality (and dimensions?).
Now, about those line images and buttons! You need an ALT tag for those... It
should be ALT="", this way the speech synthesizers (probably misspelled it :-))
will say something nasty like "IMAGE" and the same with old browsers, they'll
display the text "IMAGE" (sometimes). With the alt being there but the value
being empty, it will be skipped.
logo12.gif needs a ALT tag too...
The ALT tags of those JPEG images could be more descriptive (describing what is
on the image a bit more in details) but they'll do!
Like the colors and font choice.
Oh, and you need meta tags! (description, keywords, charterset [ISO charset, not
windows only] and maybe a few others as pragma)
The most beautiful "simple" site I've seen in I believe 7 weeks! Grats!
Yours sincerely,
Lauri
