I would also have to say no pop-ups as they are so annoying.

So right you are! I almost forgot!
(This can of course be done with the <Table> tag, for those of you who
don't know :] )
Thank you!
Further more there are a few things that shouldn't or should be done, to
warm you guys and girls up a bit:
Not using flashy or psychedelic backgrounds.
No neon, or other wise inappropriate colors.
The content: should contain more then your favorite links.
Go easy on flashy JavaScripts and java.
If the page is bigger then scratch it would be a good idea to make at
site map.
Not using none standard fonts in formatted text.
Make the page easy to navigate.
Not using frames unless it serves a purpose.
Synching colors and images.
Avoid using "bad" images.
Avoid animated GIFs
If the site has a specific point [like mine], try to keep to it.
Leave adequate author and organization info.
All good sites are under constant construction, so no "under
construction" images
[but maybe "under reconstruction" images... :) ]
Update info and links[!]
Even if your not satisfied with your homepage, don't splash it all over
the website...
because it won't do no good :]
As always... sincerely
