Yeah, one page - guitars - loaded only a few lines the first time I tried,
then the full page the second time.

I noticed the server is quite slow. I know my connection aint great - but
sites generally load faster than that.

Nonethless, I checked a few graphics, and they were quite nice and small.

A few other points:

There was an unclosed '</b' at bottom of about me page. There was nothing
after it, and all other pages seemed ok, so I assumed it was your server not
sending the full page.

None of the pages whose source I checked had a doctype [1].

In otherwork.htm, the tr's in the table had a 'height' attribute. This, I
beleive, is not valid and I am not sure whether it has an effect. When I
removed them, and saved it, it showed exactly the same.

Quickly glancing through the source I saw this at  bottom:

It was at the bottom of every page. Either you have one end tag too many
here, or you haven't put the </td></tr> between them (to close the last cell
and row in the last table).

None of the image tags I checked had the ALT attribute set. It is a good
idea for those that have text-only browsers, or have images turned off - or
even while the image is loading there is some indication of what is coming.
If they are big, give the size too.

Lastly, and I say this for almost every site, the font is not set and
defaults (I think for most systems/browsers) to times roman, a serif font.
It would certainly improve your site (IMHO) if you set the font to a
sans-serif font, such as verdana, arial, helvetica and the generic
sans-serif.

My overall impression was a clean, simple site, no clutter to drown the
purpose. It was well laid out and had a strong consistency and continuity
throughout. The rollover menu makes the difference, IMO - it looks great :-)

There could have been a few photographs (I didn't get to the 3d imagery - my
connection was reset) to give some more colour and life, IMO.

[1] Go to http://www.w3.org to try a few doctypes on for size. I beleive
they also have articles on why you should have a doctype.
