I have to agree with Sabrina Beach on this.  My own critical standards took
a leap upwards when I started reading this list, not because I didn't like
the sites which were posted for critique,  but because I learned how my
peers approached the concept of a 'good' site.  Fortunately, I was in the
process of upgrading my skills at the same time and felt compelled to re-do
virtually every project I'd attempted till then.

Thanks for the honest feedback, folks.  There is no mandate to take all the
advice offered,  but the opportunity to consider other professionals'
reactions is invaluable.
