Interesting front page - although being told to resize my browser window
tends to annoy me...

Took a while to load - although I couldn't see what was was taking so
long.

You don't cater for non-frames browsers at all - even your noframes tag
doesn't do anything:

	<NOFRAMES>
	<BODY TEXT="#000000" LINK="#990066" VLINK="#330066">
	</BODY></NOFRAMES>

This is not going to display anything for non-frames browsers (and the
body tag does *not* go inside the noframes tag!).

As far as content goes: if this is a portfolio, people are more interested
in the work you've done, than in you personally. They only want to know
about you, if they like your work. I wouldn't put all this personal info
on such a prominent page, but on a secondary page - "about me" or
something like that. Although your PhD does sound very interesting!

::Portfolio::

I like the fact that you've specified that sites will be opened in a new
window - most people don't bother, which is very irritating. The new
purple and black "portfolio" button is a little dark - maybe lighten the
purple a little? Or just use the mouseover button from the previous page,
I like that one more and it's already been downloaded and cached.

::Overall::

One thing I don't like is that most of the pages I looked at consisted
entirely (or almost entirely) of one big image. This increases download
time and site maintenance time. Your resume for example, is 16K of image
when it could be 1K of text. Nobody really wants to wait 16 times as long
for something that turns out to be just text! And then on top of that I
can't even click on the URL or the email address. It's perfectly possible
to make an attractive page wihout doing it all as one big picture. You
just need to adapt to the pros and cons of designing for the web instead
of for paper or anything else.
