The little animations are effective because of the font and colours you've
used - it reminds me of a blackboard. But at my screen res, the rhs
animation is displayed below the other two images and it looks a little
odd (this happens on the next page too). I don't think you need to say
"Welcome to Get Involved Online", the banner says it quite effectively.
The page loads reasonably quickly and the text intro is not too long. I
don't like the "click here" button at the bottom, because "click here"
looks silly when you don't use a mouse or are looking at a printed copy.

The page is too wide and I was forced to scroll sideways to read the text.
It seems as though only one element is causing the problem -
main-menu-header.gif is 650 pixels wide. I suggest you chop it down to
about 500 pixels, and that will probably fix the whole page.

The links down the left are difficult to read - use a colour that
contrasts more (white) or make the text bigger if you really must keep the
red. And why use CSS to force underlining? Links are underlined by
default. If someone (eg, me) has changed that default, it means that they
don't *want* underlined links.

If you're going to keep the links red, I would recommend that you don't
use red for ordinary text - it's confusing because it's inconsistent.

I would leave out the two "blackboard" animations - they are distracting
and have already served their purpose on the previous page.

:: poetry corner ::

When I arrived here I thought I had landed up in somebody else's site. Try
to stay with the look (or at least the colours) of the first pages -
again, consistency is important. The buttons on
http://www.get-involved.com/new-site/poetry-corner/thecorner.html have a
yellow border around them - you should get rid of it by setting border = 0
in the img tag.

Generally this is a well constructed site with a lot of promise. It's
always nice to see sites with real content, rather than a lot of flash and
no substance.

I didn't have time to look at anything else, but I hope this helps you.
