That might work, I'll give it a try. Either that, or using full colour
images which will also give some warmth.

Hmmm... I'm not too clued up on tweaking type. Perhaps if the lines were a
little less obtrusive? Otherwise I can try to adjust the type by hand, but
I'm not sure if that'll make it better or worse.

I left the white space above the text links so that they wouldn't
interfere with the rest of the design - doesn't it work? I suppose I
should have tried to incorporate them *into* the design but to be honest,
they were an afterthought. I don't really have a problem with the white
space at the top, I kinda like the "floaty" effect.
