Well, I expected the new version to look substantially different to the
old one.

I would have taken the opportunity to change the header: "For Boys and
Girls, Established 1914, In the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains". I would
build all that into the logo image, with a picture of the mountains - you
could do something quite nice with it. I would also try to integrate the
header more into the rest of the page - there's no connection at all.

A picture of the camp would not go amiss on the front page.

The black text is almost impossible to read on the brick-red background. I
suggest you use a lighter bg colour. Remember that not all browsers
support table bg colours, and so making the text a light colour is not a
good idea. I would make the text a dark green (to tie in with the logo
colour) and a size larger (to distinguish it from the links) and the bg
light blue (or grey - a shade darker than the existing grey column for
some contrast). That would look more elegant than what you have, but if
your site is meant to appeal to kids, perhaps you should consider making
it a lot more colourful and fun to look at.

I would change the font from Times New Roman to something more pleasant to
look at - "verdana,helvetica,arial" perhaps.

All that said, this is a neat, easy-to-follow site with plenty of info -
you're off to a good start.

Most of the above comments obviously apply here too. I actually like this
better, because index2.html is just too long.
