guides.com - I VERY much appreciate the time you all took to look at it.

Carrie, thanks, but what were you using to look at the site? No one else 
seemed to have this problem (I'm NOT saying it didn't happen!!). White.gif is 
a one pixel by one pixel image, and it's being used as the background of 
some of the tables, as a fix to prevent  a repeat of the vertical lines - does 
anyone have 

 a) the same problem or
b) an idea how I can avoid it?
