I found it confusing/annoying - I suggest you don't display anything until
you've detected whether to re-direct or not. Even better, don't force
people to set preferences before they've decided whether they're
interested in your site - I hate that and it's the reason I didn't go any
further. I detest being told that "for my own benefit" I *must* customise
the site before I can use it - it's like being forced to eat brussel
sprouts because your mother thinks they're good for you.
