Redesign on Martyrs Site

If you have time, I would appreciate any comments on a possible redesign of 
my site.  The new look I'm experimenting with is at:

When you click on any of the links, it will take you to my current site, 
which none of the pages will match this new home page.  I'm looking for 
feedback on this possible new look.  Once I have it down, I will need to 
modify the other pages.
