Please critique

Hello everyone,
Please could you take a look at my humane society website which I designed 
about 4 years ago.  This is not a paid job - I am a volunteer with the 
society and I had no prior experience with html or website design     when 
I designed this page.  I now have a little more experience and am thinking 
of changing the page  but would like feedback on the current page - what 
works and what doesn't.

I know this is not a professional job - the code doesn't conform to HTML 
standards and  I need to add the size of each photo etc, but would welcome 
constructive criticism before I start redesigning. The address is:
