You need to speed up the home page by changing the home page image 
fumc-collage.jpg.

Currently it is 92.5KB, 963px x 749px and is crunched by code to display at 
500px x 400px. Resizing an image with code is always a bad idea as the 
image quality drops. When crunching the size down you also create 
unnecessary load time.

The content of this image appears to mirror your site content and I'd slice 
the collage making each photo a link to that part of the site.
