Here's a quick once over...
win2000prof, IE6, 800x600, 1024x768
The lack of white space between images (jim-portrait.jpg) and text body or
captions gives the layout a look that is jammed up. I'd style the
tag
with "margin: 5,5,5,5;" as a start.
I find the link color too close to the text body color. You may want to
include a space
[ Home ]
so the bg color doesn't crop the word so closely on mouse over.
I would change the text color in motivation-is.gif since it's very close to
your visited color for links. Or even drop the visited link color
altogether. Intuitive navigation will not require this visual cue for
visitors to get what they want on a site.
All the empty space in class="navbox" on the left gives such an unbalanced
look and leaves me thinking something didn't load. The repetitive mouse
over image there is a stale design concept. I'd replace it with images that
reflect the page content that the link leads to or eliminate it (preferable).
As usual I consider hosting and site credits with or without links a
marketing faux paux and a disservice to the client. Replacing the client
site with your own on click just makes it worse.
