AOL tends to slash jpegs with razors so they bleed profusely all over the
page.

Jpegs tend to bleed as it is, and I'm afraid that your customers viewing
through AOL are going to see them in an even worse state.

So that you may get an idea of what they are seeing, I have taken the liberty
of snapping a few screen shots and posting them at:
http://members.aol.com/shdowrks/pages/net_aol.htm

For THEIR sake, you may want to use .gif format images, if through AOL is the
only way they will see the pages. Their satisfaction is primary concern, no?
