Hi there...

some basic rules to make you pages look 'pro'.

- use of black, small, sans-serif text against a light (preferably white)
background
- not using 3D buttons or navigation
- cut products loose from their background (doesn't really apply to you I
guess)
- set a border size of 1 to 4 around any graphics you may use, preferably
black - dark colour
- don't use a splash page
- make it fixed size (no rearranging when resizing) 800-600
- don't use animated gifs
- no fancy javascripts or java applets
- use flash for small buttons/important attention-drawers only, but
preferably not at all
- copyright notice on every single page (bottom, small fonts, seperated fro
the other stuff by a HR

but most of all

- a nice, clean, pure, simple design of the page and the navigation in
particular


this will get you somewhere.
