Good Afternoon,

I am working on a corporate intranet site, and I am having problems with
background images.  I am using a blue background image in my body tag, but I
am also trying to create a background image in a table that will text over
it.  Right now I have set up the table in Dreamweaver and put the text over
the table in a layer.  Because it is an intranet site, I know I can use
layers because everyone runs off the same browser.  But my problem, I have
never used layers before, is that the text layer changes widths with screen
resolution. I would like to get away from layers completely, but I don't
know how to put text over an image any other way.  Can I do it with CSS?
Could someone please check it out and see if they have any suggestions.  The
blue striped background is the background image in the body tag, and the big
links image is the image I would like to have text over. Thank you in
