Satisfaction from sharing (???)

For the sake of an argument:
The very existence of this Guild is dependent on members' willingness to
share information (and more). That undefined web organization could as well
be an educational one and/or not for profit. Why shouldn't the HWG continue
with the tradition of sharing - not only its own but the Web's at large?
