clarify which bits i need to work on.......(or is it all of it :-)=20

And this is my first attempt at webpage design......I only started about =
6 weeks ago.....so i am only yet learning the basics....

Cheers for the advice on the graphic programs...... i have just acquired =

    Hi John:
    =20
Stealing is one thing sharing is another. If you are not good at =
graphics, give it a shot, if you do not improve, then use clipart and =
photo's and work on enhancing them in a paint program. You can totally =
alter the look of an image you have taken from the net to look like =
something quite different. I am no artist but I use stockart and =
clipart and make images totally different. I need the basic forms and =
shpes and then I have fun and make them my own.
    =20
I use Corel Draw and more specifically Corel PhotoPaint for my web =
graphics. It takes time to learn but it's fun! I love your choice of =
books, I have read most of them and so has my son :-) The Unbeliever is =
one of my favorites. =20
    =20
Your coding needs some work. You should pay attention to proper =
coding. If you are using an editing program, once you finish, go back =
in and clean up the code. Learn it from HWG Library. Your code is a =
dead giveaway in terms of you skills. Your layout and design are very =
good. You have very good tase in graphics, layout and design. This is =
definitely a step in the right direction. I think your site looks very =
good. Work on the coding and learn how to manipulate graphics in a good =
paint program. I seldom create my own images. I am not artistic in =
that sense but, much like you I have a good sense of design and layout. =
I also know what looks good and can take something and make it my own =
and entirely different than what it started as. I use clipart and =
photoimages that are copyright free. This way I avoid problems.
    =20
Let me know how it goes. Get serious dude!!! You have some skills =
here, work on perfecting them!

OK, the problem is that the images are not created by me, =
apparently..'stealing' images is a big no-no in webpage design.......i =
am very interested in creating my own images of the type =
used.....however since i am and always have been crap at art, can you =
recommend a good easy to learn graphics app. and possibly tutorials to =
with it?
